Gardening can be a challenging and rewarding hobby for many disabled people. In the case of arthritis people with the disease who exercise regularly do better long-term than those who don’t exercise. Gardening needs to be adapted to the condition of the disabled gardener. Many web-sites deal with the problems of disabled gardeners.

One consideration for the disabled gardener is a greenhouse. However your mobility is affected, i.e. wheelchair, arthritis, traditional grenhouses can be difficult to access. Particularly with door width and the step/bar across the bottom of the door. Many disabled people have gotten around this problem by the use of mini greenhouses or tomato houses. See the external links below for websites with info on mini greenhouses.
